I am putting together a later Crusader army and I have been looking at what options to use for my crunch troops the first option is;

4xKn Hvy Arm Drilled sup etc
4xkn Hvy Arm Drilled sup etc
4xKn Hvy Arm undrill sup etc
4xcav prot undrill lt ave lt sp

But if I am not not facing off agianst lots of armies with Heavily Armoured knights may be I should look at armoured?

The glue is basically the same in both armies it is down to do I want 4 BGs of Knights or not what do other players think?

depends if you are likely to meet armoured spearmen or longbows,lots of bow, armoured cavarly.

of so - you really need heavy armour

- you will die in seconds to longbow
- you are goind to get beaten even by disrupted srmoured spearmen
- you will be shot apart by horse archers
- you will be flank charged by armoured cav


With HA knights you can wave a flank at horse archers and go 'ooooh, charge me' and then chop them up with your extra dice on a + in melee
with armoured knights thats suicide

on the other had it might tempt some of those horse archers to go toe to toe which would be a good thing for you, as you cant take their shooting

Go with HA being superior when facing Longbows even if disrupted before charging in your still on a double plus at impact anda plus in Melee.

HA is much better against shooting and in melee.
