Keen on purchasing the new Old Glory line for my birthday is there any chance of a quick peek at the Poles list in order to be able to start on this new project?

Never played DBR so am lost to using that as a basis....

Thanks in advance..

Not looking for the nitty-gritty, just basic information.

I'm assuming (and borrowing from FoG):

Mounted will be in groups of 4-6

Lancers - armored sup, drilled l/s, 4-6 bases
Polish cossacks - protected/armored, sup/avg/poor 4-6 bases
Reiters - armored avg undrilled FA 4-6 bases

Shot - pro, avg, drilled 6-8 bases
Pike - pro, avg drilled 4-8 bases

Am I missing anything glaring???

too much Anglo-centric theory going on with all the ECWs I guess :D :D

Get to the Turks v the Poles/Hungarians straight away... and leave those Testudo's alone!!!

Especially when you then get Mike Hart and I involved with all the dirty underhanded 12 yr old tournament tricks that can be answered and settled prior to the published rules.

For that matter, just think of the electrons we'll save now, if Spike and Myself are included at the beginning, just to get to the bottom of the all elusive "authors intent"

LOL

Scott

I think you mean Tercios.

Can't answer specifics but I can assure you that it's not all Anglo-centric...

Hi Tim,

That was a reference to Nik's efforts to secure some ECWs from Testudo's mini...

all the rest was strictly T.I.C!

Anglo-centric ? I don't think so, at last tournement I was the ONLY player with a ECW list and I'm Italian :)

What sort of date are you looking at for the army?

Morp-able so date is not as important.

I do want the Winged Lancers.

Will the Siege of Vienna be in FoGR timeframe?

does Testudo make a Polish Line :D :D

Yes 1683 would be in FoGR scope as far as I know.

Winged Lancers are a real joy to have on the table.

Testudo - no idea if they make Poles but the figures I have are really something special. As good as the circa 1996 OG Swiss.

Matteo's ECW Royalists are as well painted as they fight - I was considering mugging him for them after my final round thrashing.

Well the date determines whether the Husaria (a) have wing(s) and (b) have 1 or 2 wings - so it does matter

Yup - it is going up to the end of The War of the league of Augsburg.

Will DBR shot still be based on 40x20s? Can/is basing discussed anywhere in the common area?

TIA

Scott

I don't think I am breaking the NDA by saying that so far I have not had to rebase much if anything from my DBR armies. (I suspect that the Slitherine team have ex-DBR players as a part of their target market and making them rebase might be a NSP.)

So, say a guy just happened to pick up some Polish winged hussars, but didn't have a copy of DBR to know what the basing would be (and what the likely FOG:R basing would be). How many to a base & what base size should they be mounted to? 3 to a 40x30mm base?

Yes, that is the DBR basing.
