Irrespective of whether the CinC should be an IC, I would check any list on Tim's site as many are written down on the day in a game. Their use is more for ideas, it doesn't imply 100% correct and accurate lists!

(The original was used at Ascot, and would have gone through list checking).

There is no requirement in the list itself stating that Pyrrhus is required to be purchased as an IC. There is nothing in the Errata stating a correction either. The starter armies are listed as an example and the authors (and others) have stated in the past that they may or may not be legal in themselves and that players should always refer to the main army list for the army in question for all requirements.

In the field of glory books Rise of rome ,Pyrrhic list under CinC it has inspired commander 80pts 1 .In the rules page 149(commanders) it states (Each army must have a commander in chief and 1-3 subordinate or allied commanders .The only one listedin the CinC catagory is Inspired commander . so to my understanding every pyrrhic list would require a inspired commander as CinC so the list wasnot legal .I am not making a moral judgement I just want to understand the rules .

As the list is written you are correct. The CinC of this army must be an IC.

I stand corrected. I forgot to look at the top line of the army (dope!) and looked further down at special campaigns and such.

This army as listed comes in at 769 points. Upgrading the FC to the required IC would make it 799, so I suspect the error is merely a typo in recreating the list.

I guess someone should change it then - any volunteers...?

The "dope!" changed it to reflect the correct list.
