For Karsten:
I take it that the lists you have drafted that covers these armies are for the TYW and we will need variations for the eastern frontier?
Mind you was there much activity there during the TYW? (which is the period the first book covers) Do we need such a list?

Not sure, after a brief period where the Ottomans supported the protestants (mostly Gabriel Bathlen of Transylvania ... yes I'm still working on that list) they clashed with the Poles due to this and while they won the Polish-Ottoman war of 1620-21 they are then out of struggle for one reason or another. I can't remember reading much on Ottoman activity between that war and 1658'ish.
The heaviest impact the Ottomans had on the war was indirect at best, as it was their expansion that lead to the migrations which ultimately triggered the Uskok war and all the results this had on the start of the 30YW.
We can either make provisions for more easterly troops in the list (mostly more light horse and maybe some border troops
), create a separate list (not sure it's worth it) or ignore it as their was no notable battle between the Habsburg Dynasty and the Ottomans during this time (at least none I've come across, if anyone finds one I'm happy to look into it, it can only improve the list IMO).

Right - we'll not bother with the east then, but we can always stick an "eastern front" army in Clash of Empires if we decide that it is necessary after all.
