Catalan Company Cavalry Figure Recommendations

I'm just getting started on a 15mm Catalan Company army. I'm using the Eureka figures for my Almughavars, but I'm curious about my choices of what to use for the cavalry and knights. For the Turk and Albanian light horse, I'm all set, but I was wondering what people thought would be the best figures to get for Cavalls Armats knights and Cavalls Alforrats heavy cavalry. I'm looking for really nice and well-sculpted figures, and not necessarily the least expensive ones.

Actually, I have, but madaxeman's site, although wonderful just lists the different manufacturer's that are available. I was looking for specific recommendations from the members of this forum.

any range for feudal knights from the 12th - 14th Century for Nobles as heavily armoured knights (eg mirliton communal italian knights). For the cavalry simply lighter armed versions of the same (eg sergeants from the ame range).

I believe that Essex may have just released a Catalan Company FOG starter set, they probably have appropriate cav figures.

That's really weird. The pictures Anthony linked to look woefull. I'd never in a million years buy Miriton from those images, but I've got to say that Mirliton figures are top notch. Don't go by those images as they aren't ver nice, but the actual end product is second to none.

I'm pretty sure that the figures Anthony uses are Mirliton, so search for his posts and go to his page. It shows that they do actually paint up nicely - they just look horrid in the bare :).

http://www.madaxeman.com/15mm/displayim ... ?pos=-1204 is what they look like as (badly!) painted by me :-)

Most people seem to "recommend" the new Eureka Almughavars, however "tastes may vary" - as will availability and how much you are prepared to spend on shipping depending on where you are!

I ordered a bunch of the Eureka Almughavars, and I absolutely love them! The best figures, by far, IMHO for Catalan infantry. Living in the US, and ordering them from Eureka USA, I received them only 3 days after ordering them too, for a US Mail Priority Shipping Charge of only $6.50.

Of course, my original post concerned what to use for Catalan heavy cavalry, and after seeing the Mirliton image, and madaxeman's painted ones, I think this may be the way I'll go. I'm still considering possibly trying the Corvus Belli hobilars though.
