Tuaregs, what are they good for?

I was surprised to find these minis at Peter Pig - about 1/3rd of the way down this page:

Does anyone know if they would suit any of the FoG periods? I like the way they look, they clearly paint up very nicely. I just wonder if they would serve in lieu of more conventional Bedouin types in a North African list or similar.

I sort of like the visual effect of including these in a Christian Nubian army; one of those very odd armies that is compelling.

I use some in my fanatic berbers, but replaced the shields with small round ones

the answer is "for a laugh".

Apparently there will be a Tuareg list on Lost Scrolls IIRC

I like the big floppy shields. Sheets of rawhide maybe? They look fun to paint.

I think that the shileds of tuareg made by Peter Pig aren't correct for Fanatic Berber. As a matter of fact it' s better a circoluar shield... no?

I have no idea of the accuracy of these minis. I just think they look great.
