Hi guys,

I realize you don't support the Mac version (Freeverse does that). But, I'm wondering if you've shared with Freeverse the update V1.0101b for use on the Mac for Freeverse to release. I'm hoping to be able to patch my version some day and have the same capabilities as you PC folks.

I've posted in the Freeverse forum about stuff, but they don't reply.

Thanks!

AFAIK the Mac version includes all the updates from the patch.

Cheers

It doesn't include the updates from the PC patch.

Some examples:

* My general doesn't gain XP from commanding the army - he still has to engage in combat.
* The max multiplayer goodies are still 5000 denari and 15000 xp.
* The only speed options are Pause, Normal, and Fast.
* Damage over 10 still shows as 10,10,5...

The version on the Mac is 1.0100:907:1. The only patch Freeverse offers is a "OSX 10.3.9 compatibility update" which doesn't affect my machine.

The latest patch must have come out after the MAC version was converted as it shoudl be v1.0101. I'll talk to Freeverse and see if they are able to get an update out.

Has there been an update for the Mac users of this fine game? I tried to install the Britannicus mod from Possum on my LA/Mac but can't figure how to do it. Nor do I have BBEdit to do so. any easier way to do this? I also see there is no scenario editor for the MAC, why is that?
thanks and all best
Patrick

Not yet, we've discussed it with Freeverse and they would like to do it, but things are a bit hectic this week trying to preare for the IGF.

Plucero,

xcool mentioned in the Modding for the Mac thread that you can right-click or control-click on the Legion Arena icon in your applications folder and select "Show Package Contents". This will allow you to get at the goodies inside and edit some of the text files. My BBEdit method was the one I stumbled on, but xcool's method is much simpler and can be used by anyone.

I still haven't found a way to make use of any additional mods, though.

Don't follow me down the dark path... resist the temptation to start your army off with 100,000 denari. It was fun the first time, though. ;-)
