What are the main differences between GoT and LA?

GoT is described as turn based, whereas LA is RTS? Are they really different in this respect? I like GoT and Chariots of War so I'm considering buying LA but I don't like RTS games, so I'm not interested if LA isn't turn based.

One of the strengths of Got/Spartan is the great variety of different countries you can play with different objectives. Can you really only play the Romans or the Guals in LA?

What is the difference between LA and Great Battles of Rome? I'm not remotely interested in the video footage: if I want to watch TV, I'll watch TV.

It is completely different - no campaign map, it is a story/rpg based RTS. :)

That's a shame. GoT is such a good game but it'd getting a bit long in the tooth these days.
