I am looking for 15mm Saracen Foot for an Italo-Norman army would you recommend I look at? Who makes nice Saracens that can mix with mainly Essex figures?

Essex do and I have some of those, although I think Minifigs look better and I have some of those. I got some nice ones from East Riding Miniatures as well.

Lots of companies have "Crusades" ranges which will contain suitabe figures.

Sight unseen, but you might want to wait for these:

I have ordered from Khurasan Miniatures twice; Sarmatians,Goths, Huns and Kushans. I found a scale range that is challenging, but not impossible to work with - they use different sculptors. That is the only down side. The research and detail is outstanding, and delivery within the US is damn near instant. Every pack I have gotten has included at least one variation in pose.

Perhaps while you are painting your knights and cavalry, you might wait for the the release of these figures? More options is always a good thing.

How big are the Legio Heroica? They look fantastic. They tempt me into the period . . .

http://www.madaxeman.com/wiki2/tiki-ind ... k+Egyptian is one of the several "arab" wiki pages with listings of everyone who makes saracen-type arabs in 15mm that I know of.

Your whole website has been enormously helpful Tim.

An outstandingly helpful site that I have recommended to friends who are now similarly enthused. Between them they have Wallachian, Merovingian, Late Sicilian and Free Company armies in the works. One of them is new to miniatures ancients - swayed past the tipping point by your website - the AARs and your minis photo gallery locked it. We pulled out of 6mm Sci Fi gaming into 15mm ancients.

Bringing in the Sheaves.

Legio Heroica foot fit nicely with Museum Feudal foot, perhaps a little taller than Essex. Mounted mix well with essex

From left figs 1, 3 & 7 are Legio Heroica, rest are Essex. Rubbish pic took in a hurry a while back...

If i had the time i'd replace all my Essex with Legio Heroica... but i don't :(

Your link works.

Nice painting/nice bases and nice figures.

Coming back to topic Legio Heroica Saracens are superb. As indeed is every 15mm figure they make. I just wish they covered more periods.
