Hi guys,

we have created a mini patch for MH CEAW. This patch adds a laucnher program before the game runs. This allows you to set your full screen and sound settings outside the game and without editing text files so makes it easier to get up and running if you were having problems. It should also solve some minor compatibility issues.

The installer is designed to work only with the Military History CEAW version. We had to maker it in to an installer this time because it updates the shortcuts and points them to the slithlaunch.exe instead of the game, and the laucnher then runs the game.

Anyone with another version of the game needs to wait until we crete a new patch for it.

Is this patch applicable for the MHCEAW Gold version ?

Yes the installer is only for the MH CEAW Gold version.

Any other original CEAW game (without Military History branding and movies) patched to v1.12 needs the zip file rather than the installer as the shortcuts vary with each country as they all have their own publishers. You must have the 1.12 update before you apply this.

Maybe I did something wrong but I got the following java exception on startup. I'm running an older version so I had to unzip and copy the mod files over v1.12. My original version was 1.00.

What mod files?
This update is only a technical fix, you still need to apply the 1.12 patch beforehand.
Did your game say "v1.12" in main menu before you updated?

Maybe we should rename this to "Hotfix for 1.12"

Just applied the new patch over an original (Matrix) version allready patched to 1.12 and got exactly the same error.

Johan, Sorry I wasn't clearer. I applied this fix to a version that I had patched to CEaW Gold v 1.12. It was the vanilla version and it was patched from the vanilla version of v1.06. v1.06 was patched from an earlier version (I think v1.02) which was patched from the original v1.00.

Again, I'm probably done something wrong but it's looking for a class file in */com/ice/jni/registry/Registry. In the last picture below you can see that my patched version of v1.12 gold that the subfolder "com" doesn't contain the "ice" folder.

Ok, we need to check something out and perhaps make a new 1.12.2 version.

This is actualy a lot more complex than we realised... sorry guys. This patch is only for the MH CEAW version, not the updated 1.12 version without movies. We'll try and work out what to do ASAP. All you can do for now is revert to the old 1.12 version and change your shortcuts till we resolve this. Many apologies guys.
