bottom of screen is cutoff on 27" LCD

I can't see the bottom inch of the map on my 27" LCD. any idea on how to fix this?

What resolution are you running at? Have you tried changing the resolution to see whether there is any change in the behaviour?

going to 1024 x 768, (UGH), fixed it.

What resolution does your monitor support? Could it be using some kind of scaling down of a resolution higher than the physical resolution? That is: perhaps the game was trying to play at a higher rez than the monitor, and the rescaling wasn't occuring.
I would suggest trying progressively different resolutions to work out which ones work and which don't.

I lowered the resolution and that fixed the issue, thank you.
