Pursuers of routed troops

Apologies if this has already been covered, but is there a requirement for the pursuers of routed troops to have close combat capability? Cannot see a reference in the rules, but would seem a little strange that a contingent of unarmed LF slingers for instance would be able to cause casualties on a heavily armoured, albeit routed, HF battle group.

Sling armed LF have "other" close combat capability, as do any troops without a sepcific impact/melee class.

In actuality, the effect of pursuers on routers would be mostly a morale/cohesion one rather than an actual slaying of the routing troops and hence at the scope of FoG any pursuing BG that contacts the routers has the same effect.

There are lots of troops with no close combat capability/POA. Most LF, a lot of LH (just bows), most Mob, MF with XB, etc. I think the lack of POA is the main thing, they have close combat capability, they're just not very good if anyone fights back.
