A Solo Campaign for Every Faction
Hello Black Lab Games and Slitherine,
First of all, thank you for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. I really enjoy the game, especially its turn-based gameplay, the different factions, and the feeling of commanding a Warhammer 40K army on the battlefield.
I would like to suggest what I believe could be a fantastic addition to the game: a dedicated solo campaign for every faction.
At the moment, the main campaign focuses on the Blood Angels. However, Battlesector now has a large number of playable factions, and I think it would be amazing to experience the story from the perspective of each of them.
For example:
A Tyranid campaign where we play as a Hive Fleet invading a planet.
A Necron campaign focused on awakening a tomb world and reclaiming ancient territory.
An Ork campaign centered around a massive Waaagh!
A Sisters of Battle campaign involving a religious crusade.
A T'au campaign focused on expansion and encounters with the Imperium.
An Astra Militarum campaign showing the perspective of ordinary Imperial soldiers.
A Chaos campaign where we play as the forces of the Ruinous Powers.
What would make this especially interesting is that some campaigns could tell different sides of the same conflict.
For example, a Blood Angels campaign could show an important battle from the Imperial perspective, while a Tyranid campaign could allow us to experience that same conflict from the Tyranid perspective.
This could also give each faction its own heroes, objectives, progression and story, while making the existing factions much more interesting for players who prefer playing solo.
I understand that creating a full campaign for every faction would require a significant amount of development work. Even smaller campaigns of around 8–12 missions per faction would already be fantastic.
I believe this could give Battlesector a huge amount of replayability and would encourage players to explore factions that they might otherwise only use in skirmish or multiplayer.
I would absolutely love to see Battlesector evolve in this direction.
Thank you for reading, and thank you again for continuing to support the game!
