SCYTHED CHARIOTS

I am interested in getting a rule interpretation on Scythed Chariots. They are a Battle Group, on contacting the enemy, does their destruction on contact cause a test on accompanying units within range? The rules are not clear. If they do, what is the point of using them, unless you follow up later , which was most times historical.

If you loose them no one it's interested in it, it was expected so no marale in our troops

no test which is also why they don't count towards your battle group count for your total battlegroups or count for army break when lost, they are not meant to survive.
Personally I have tried them twice and found them not very effective and 30 points I would rather use on other more useful troops. Now if you are constantly lucky with the dice then 6 impact dice could be worth your while. they are pretty easy to counter since they can't manouver all that well, only wheel or go straight thats it for them, no fancy stuff with those boys.

I've tried them a few times and I have to say they've never worked for me so I now spend the points or more worthwhile troops like "Poor" foot!?
