Just a moment, let me put on my finest American showman outfit...

Ahem...

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to DEATH RACE!

Here, the best and fiercest drivers come to battle it out on treacherous tracks filled with traps, in search of glory and adrenaline, where death lurks everywhere and strikes the unwary competitor.
That's the spirit of DEATH RACE!

The rules are simple: each team in the competition can field three vehicles at the starting line. The first to cross the finish line or the last one standing is declared the winner.
Speed or explosions, choose your weapons.

For this inaugural season, our engineering teams have developed a first experimental track, the plan of which you are about to be amazed by:

Dear spectator, we, at the Death Race Federation, readily admit that the track feels empty and could have been more visually appealing, but the organizers primarily want to test the concept before offering other races in more exotic settings.
Don't worry about its quality, however; every corner has been carefully designed to provide an exceptional spectacle and a formidable challenge for competitors.

Let's take a closer look at its layout.

Sector 1 : Battle road

Image

This is where the race begins. The competitors start relatively close together, with the first turn coming up quite fast. It's up to them to decide whether to stay wide to avoid being shot at, or try to charge headlong into the fray to gain the upper hand, even if it means getting shot in the process. The more aggressive players might also try to destroy the opposing vehicles right from the start, but this could allow the survivors to gain a significant lead while their teammates sacrifice themselves for the team.

Sector 2 : Kaboom corners

Image

This section features two wide, identical turns, with one (heavy) difference: in the center of each turn is a massive cannon operated by one of the teams. If you want to go fast, take them tight, but be aware that the cannons can inflict serious damage. Alternatively, you can play it safe and drive wide, but in that case, you risk falling significantly behind.
In Death Race, time is often more precious than life; but you still have to cross the finish line alive. The choice is yours.

Sector 3 : F*****g rivers

Image

As the name suggests, this area can cause you some problems. Rivers run across the track, and there are only a few crossing points. The perfect spot if you want to set up ambushes.
This section can benefit teams that have opted for amphibious vehicles, so keep that in mind.

Sector 4 : The Minefields

Image

Not all competitors make it to this section, and it could be even more deadly. There are two main parts : the unlucky caverns and the explosive alley.
The principle is simple: mines are randomly placed in each part of this sector. You can see and drive over your own mines, but you can't see and are vulnerable to those of the other team. This can completely change the game at the very end of the race, if you haven't already taken out the other team, of course.

Note that small green zones are located along the course. Here, you will be fully supplied. If you refuel elsewhere, you will only have half the necessary supplies.

Interested in the challenge? Here are two invitation cards to download, containing everything you need to participate (No, seriously, these REALLY are the game files) :

Link towards the whole tournament : https://www.mediafire.com/file/zw2llf7r ... 1.rar/file

Two different invitations? You're probably wondering why, right?

The first one contains the track playable in multiplayer with basic teams. You can easily change the team composition in the editor.
The initial plan was to create tracks with AI for each team, but the organizers ultimately decided that a championship pitting you against increasingly tough and cunning opponents was a better idea.

That's why there's the second invitation, certainly the more interesting one, which contains a complete tournament spread over 5 races on the same track. The first opponents will be weak, but beating the later ones will require skill.
You call it a "campaign"; but here, we call it a "tournament".

I see you're interested!
Perfect, the more competitors, the better the show!

How do you participate, you ask?
No, you don't need cars; we certainly don't want you showing up in your seven-seater family car or the one your grandma bequeathed you. The teams that recruit you will provide your racing machines.

However, you do need a good engine to get the race going.
It's not the newest, but the only approved track is the Panzer Corps engine with Akkula's Modern Conflicts 2.15 modification.
Ah, you've got it? Perfect, listen to it roar. What a sweet sound, like it just rolled off the assembly line yesterday.

Well, all that's left is to download your invitation.
The first in installed like a scenario.
The second one is installed like a campaign.

If the show lives up to expectations, we'll run more seasons on more refined tracks.
But before undertaking major projects, we need to assess whether the concept is viable.

So, fire up your engines, and see you on the track!
