Kingdoms/Ancients battles in MP Medieval/Empires?

Would it be in anyone’s interest (in addition to mine) to get an upgrade of the mentioned games in order to make it possible to resolve campaign battles from Kingdoms and Empires as multiplayer games in Medieval and Ancients?

I prefer playing single-player campaigns in Kingdoms and Empires but miss the player vs. player challenge in the battles.

And it would be great if the Kingdoms and Empires battle could then show up like any other challenge in the Multiplayer Lobby of Medieval or Ancients, with or without password, for a selected player or anyone to pick it up.

Would really make the great leap in this franchise, I think.

Plus that Kingdoms and Empires multiplayer campaigns would benefit a lot too, maybe even more.

I remember back when Field of Glory: Empires came out, there was discussion on the forums about exporting naval battles to Mare Nostrvm, but the two games were too incompatible.

We've talked both here and internally about it a lot. The bottom line is that there would need to be a fairly heavy investment in new backend and in-game logic (in both games) to manage it, all to allow (what would be) a percentage of a percentage of the playerbase to play the game in that way. It could lead to turns taking days to play out, if people needed to fight multiple battles.

These would obviously be the very most dedicated players, but the time investment just didn't make sense in the final evaluation.

Sorry!

Cheers

Fair enough: makes sense. Many thanks for quick answer!
