After the new patch, my cities aren't growing

Hello

Since the new patch, my cities have been growing very slowly. Once the population reached around 20 (which was around turn 300 in the game, started before the patch), all growth stopped and has been very sluggish.
I don’t like this, because most of my enjoyment of the game comes from the economic development of my provinces and building new structures. In the current situation, this is very difficult due to the slow population growth.
Could it be that the new limits on population growth have been set too strictly?

And inflation. How works inflation?

Some evil spirit has slowed the growth speed of cities, the Zirid totally agree with the Castilians that this is strange, like we are hit with a curse!
Also this inflation curse has hit us, our astrologer says it because we have too much gold or earn too much, how can that be we can't earn too much ...

I’ve been experiencing the same issue after the patch. Population growth seems to slow down dramatically once cities hit around 20, which makes it much harder to develop provinces and build new structures. For players who enjoy the economic side of the game, this change feels quite restrictive.

Yes, it is a bug that has been fixed in the companion patch. This is one of the reasons why we wanted an "advance patch" before the DLC release; with 6 months since the last patch, it was a bit risky not to have this extra safety.

Another change that doesn't make much sense to me is the 5-turn demolition of buildings—and one at a time, no less.
I understand that you wanted to limit the scorched-earth tactic (at least that's my guess), but you've thrown the baby out with the bathwater.
First of all, the scorched earth tactic is a time-honored tradition.
And second, as a player focused on economic development, I usually completely rebuild a province after conquering it (because the AI and many players build structures that are completely useless to me). So first I demolish what needs to be demolished, and then I immediately rebuild everything. Currently, this process can take up to 50 years. I’m sorry, but that doesn’t make sense. Can this be changed?

It's down to 3 turns for 1.08.0 (DLC2 day), but it's still not parallelized. This allows for some reasonable tweaking of regions you take over, if that's the intent, but it does not allow removing 30 buildings at once against a player in MP. It's not something we are fond of, and if it were allowed, we would want to frame it within a kind of historical context (like the Mongols ravaging Baghdad).
