Hi Support,

Hoping you can explain this strange time stamp in my multi-player tabs?
At the moment 13:53 UTC 18th January I am seeing this.

As you can see stamp on my opponents turn is 07:07 18 January (UTC).
However I was away from home from an hour before that time (and for a further four hours after).
I last returned this game on 16th January and have been awaiting the return since.

Any explanation?

Looks like your opponent has loaded the games and saved them.

Thanks for the reply Tyrone.
This raises another question.
In WTC the time stamp is used to verify turn's having been made.
That might mean a fundamental misunderstanding of how the time stamp works which I would need to correct.

Other question is how this does, or does not, affect the time out calculation in Slitherine's own tournaments as calculation of who has had the game longest seems to be between time stamps?

I don't think you need to worry about this. Those who wrote the scripts are not idiots. The database keeps a full record of when all of the turns in a game are completed.

Thank you - it is not a worry regarding tournaments but curiosity on what is the field/trigger for measurement with a vested interest for community tournaments.
I am only (slightly) worried that it is a matter of going back to the drawing board as transparency on turn completion is less than I had thought/assumed. It means that what seemed an elegant solution for dealing with slow play in community tournaments is based on an assumption that the time stamp is updated at turn submission - which it appears it is not. So a false assumption.
