Hi,
i finished 1940 Campaign in Generalissimus difficulty. Now i want a "Fast Deployment" Hero badly. So i am loading the last save of the Valona battle over and over. Select Denied Artillery, Industry Connections, Master of Blitzkrieg, Killer Team and Terrain Expert.

So this gives me 4 Heroes at the beginning of deployment phase of Zagreb. I have seen several Double Attack, Zero Slots and other Tier S Heroes. But not a single Fast Deployment. I am doing this for 7 hours straight now, literally generated 100s of Heroes...

I am thinking this has a 0 % Drop chance to me for any reason. Can it be because of Denied Artillery ? I doubt it cause Infantry, AT, AA still can use it. Or is there a "Threshold" ?

Example: At the start you already have Heroes worth 150 points. Threshold for the 1941 Campaign in the 1st scenario is set to 160. So you get 2 Heroes worth like 2 points. Making it 164. Then a good one like worth 5 points. The last is a not useful one with just 1 point. So what if the Fast Deployment might be worth 6 points. So you have to roll 3 other low grade Heroes to obtain it. Extremely rare chance.

I think i can do that for the rest of my life not seeing one. Or is it just very bad rng luck ?

Anyone has some insight ?

If you search for it, this is a topic that has been discussed to death since the game's original release.

This is basically how it works:

When you begin a campaign, the game "decides" which heroes you will receive for the entire campaign. It doesn't matter how many times you reload the scenario; you will receive the same ones in the same order. Only if you exit back to the main menu and begin an all new campaign will it reroll your heroes.

The only way to learn which heroes you will get ahead of playing the scenarios is to use the cheat code "setany Victory 0" to bypass playing the scenario and advance to the next one to see which hero awaits you. You would need to do this for each scenario until you reach the end of the DLC/campaign. You must remember to save your 1st scenario before you begin or you won't be able to begin the DLC/campaign at its start (because the default save will be the last scenario you viewed).

It is supposed to be totally random, but in my experience that means you can get strange results that have always caused me to question it.

You can also try:
"cheat NewHero FastDeployment"
Its basically the same like starting a camapaign again and again, to get the heroes you want, not the ones the game creates for you. You can still pick killer team trait, recycle one of the heroes and reduce your prestige by 1000.

I guess your playing without mods?
I havent played the vanilla game for a while, but actually I cant really remember getting these kind of heroes...maybe its not even in the pool?
The hero generation should be random, but its not really random. There are a lot of topic and theories in this forum about that
