New to PC2 Cannot get change of airfield to work. Manual is very poor on this. Please give extra attention to the details.
Thank you.

Try this - my planes are currently based at the red-circle field.
One of my ground units captures that airfield at top (blue-circled)
I can now select my plane and click the 'Rebase" icon (yellow square at bottom left) and the newly-captured airfield becomes highlighted and that's a bingo, I can move my plane to it, but it won't be available for combat til next turn..:)
(Note planes can't rebase if its raining)

Does the act of capturing an Airfield allow the player to immediately transfer their planes during the same turn, I have the impression that it is possible only for the next turn in some cases ?

P.S.: The answer is in the picture :?

Yes, the turn number at top right confirms rebasing can be performed on the same turn that a field is captured...:)
And below is another test i just ran to double-confirm it, note the blue arrow at top right reads turn 2 in all the pics.
In pic 2 the car captures the airfield at bottom right, allowing us to hit the 'Rebase' button (yellow square at bottom left), and the plane rebases to the new field in pic 3-
Notes for newcomers about planes-
The three reasons for rebasing are firstly because a plane might not have enough range to reach a target from its home airfield, so it needs to rebase closer to the front line.
Secondly a plane flying from a field closer to the target gets a combat bonus for each unused hex of flight time because the pilot arrives fresher than he would after a longer flight.
Thirdly, if a planes current field is in danger of being overun by the enemy it needs to rebase out quick.
(Incidentally, bear in mind that newly-purchased ground units can't be placed in or adjacent to airfields)
