I've been away from PC2 for a while and am a bit rusty, so can anybody remind me-
1- Does the AI ever make adjacent units swop positions?
(I know the human can do it by selecting one of the units, then holding the Shift key and clicking the other unit)
2- Does the AI ever use the forced march command?
3- Does the AI ever use unarmed recon planes to hover over an enemy unit to improve an attacking friendly ground units combat power?
4- Does the AI ever use elite replacement points?

1- Does the AI ever make adjacent units swop positions?
==> No, I have never seen that.
2- Does the AI ever use the forced march command?
==> Oh yeah, all the time. You think your artillery is safe but somehow there are inf. units coming out of nowhere, moving like tanks.
3- Does the AI ever use unarmed recon planes to hover over an enemy unit to improve an attacking friendly ground units combat power? ==> No. Recon planes are scripted, they always move to the same hex.
4- Does the AI ever use elite replacement points?
==> Never really payed attention to that imo AI is only using elite replacements.

Thanks, and another thing- In the Random Scen Generator no matter what year it is (1939 to 45) or what nationality the sides are, about half the AI units always begin the game with one Experience star, but the human players units begin with none (below), does anybody know why that is?
(presumably it only applies to the RSG and not to scripted scenarios)

It does not, so in long, difficult siege situations it is worth grinding a tough 5 star tank or other key target one point at a time by chip damage. This allows to slowly get it down to a much lower threat value as it looses stars, aside from dealing with its possible entrenchment level. Not so much of an issue in regular campaigns, but in DLC this can sometimes be a very valid choice of approach.

This will depend on the difficulty you select. You can see how it different on the lowest vs. highest (on Generalissimus you will often see 3-4 star units with 15 strength and such).

Thanks, so it seems the difficulty setting also applies to several things like stars and how many units a side gets, etc
