Games Industry Question

A question to people with games industry experience:
Have you ever heard of Train2game and their 12months course in games development?
And if so, would as far as you know studios in the industry consider a Train2game course in games development (advocated by the UK trade association for the games industry TIGA) a useful basis to enter the industry?
I know that uni courses usually take about 3years, but unis often do not have a hands-on and practical enough approach...
However, if the qualification was not recognized at all or not considered useful among studios it would be a waste to spend money on it.
Thanks for the input!
