Sinking of U-864

Last night I caught the very end of a show on the Military Channel on the sinking of U-864. I wasn't familiar with the story and thought I'd pass it along. What makes this story particularly interesting (to me) is:

(1) It's the only known case in World War II of a submerged sub sinking another submerged sub.
(2) It was carrying 65 tons of Mercury, which is now an environmental disaster for Norwegian waters. It's mission was to deliver the Mercury, used for detonators, and other weapons materials to Japan.

I'm sorry to break the news; but sometimes Hollywood takes liberties with the history and facts in war movies. :(
