What is zinc for?

Hello

I have a question: what is zinc used for? It can be obtained from the emporium, but what for?
Second question: why does gold bring so few benefits? It is a rare metal and the benefits of using it should be greater than those of silver. The same applies to precious stones.
Can this be improved in any way?

Note that are a few more unused resources you can see in Trade tab in the ledger. I guess you can use them in the mods.

So they are all added to the game??

They are trade goods, which doesn't help you if no one needs them or get bonus from them, then their only value is for the mine itself, which is some gold and metal iirc.

If you want to list the most underused trade goods, perhaps we can improve the situation?

Contrary to appearances, this is not such an easy question. Generally, I base my answer on practical experience gained while building a trade emporium. This shows me all the bonuses guaranteed by a given building.
Off the top of my head, I usually build the following emporiums [they guarantee the most benefits for the economy]:
Silver
Iron
Marble

The rest are generally rarely used and of little value, but I am most disappointed with the construction of the following:
Gold - while a gold mine guarantees some profit from mining, the gold from the emporium is negligible, and yet it is one of the most valuable resources. Especially the jeweller's workshop, the bank and various buildings of the Court or the church should provide great benefits here. The worthlessness of this resource is most evident when I am shown the gold and silver emporiums to be built at the same time [because then I can compare the bonuses].
Precious stones - similar to gold, except that I have never managed to build a precious stone mine. I don't know if it exists (they exist as a resource that does not give bonuses).
Zinc - gives absolutely no bonuses. Building it is completely pointless.

I may sometimes build other emporiums in isolated cases justified by circumstances [i.e. when I already have a secure supply of silver and iron and further emporiums no longer give bonuses]

P.S. I understand that this is a complex game and requires certain simplifications, etc., but perhaps you could balance the above elements a little more.

In the same game as Gribol I have (income depends a lot on commerce bonus too)
2 Frankincense, all 4 sold, 24+26 can't see all boni in an easy way. Also the saving is not shown think its 11g -3g or so per for another 32, so 100g+ value
1 Iron, 4 all sold 44 gold directly. cost 8 missing cost, 3 if available so 4x5 saved.
1 Marble, 2 all sold 18g
1 Precious, 1 of 1 sold 16g
1 silk, no sales as none apparent need it, bonus ???
2 silver, 4 all sold 29+22g
This is turn 381 a meagre amount of emporiums .. maybe I did something wrong or they are really difficult to build.
I think Gribol might have managed this a bit better than me!
Though he has been as lucky as me that most he gets from exotic merchants ... are exotic fruits and Ivory or are those the exotic things that are not covered by Emporiums?

Its really difficult to get an total overview of goods, hence my other post about improving goods overview/maps.
Iron - can only deliver to ~60% of demand total, I think I build whenever I can, unless loyalty is low.

Also don't think I have seen a precious mine ... and searching doesn't help here as I got an emporium.

My emporium is the only source all over the map.
The only requirement is mining exploit and it appears on the list of buildings but I don't think I have been able to select it yet.

And I found a new bug when you have/buys more than 10 goods!!! see other post.
And another one, counting wood, when there are 3 sources, see other post.

Ok thanks for the feedback, I'll see how to improve these trade goods use.
