Empires/Kingdoms <-> FOG2|Ancients/Medieval?

I am mainly getting back into FOG2 after a three year break. But I did have a question about Empires and Kingdoms and exporting battles. For the last, 2 years (new system build), I have been playing ROME2(DEI) and Attila(FOTE+EUP) ... the campaign is not bad, but the battles are incredibly monotonous as only TW can be. (a series that has not improved battles in 20 years; just graphics)

So, I recall in Empires when lots of troops met, you would end up with a series of attritional battles as you worked your way through a series of maximal sized battle limited due to frontage.

I am curious does exactly the same thing happen when exporting? A series of repeating attritional battles until someone runs out of troops, or is there just a single representative battle that resolves the encounter?

Thank you!

If you get a draw on Exported battle than you will have to continue. Decisive results will push remnants of their stack back if they have neutral or aligned territory to retreat to. Otherwise entire stack will melt down.

If you gonna export do that for big battles only. Small altercations can be easily resolved in Kingdoms engine with no extra attrition. Game wasn't balanced for Exporting of low scale battles per se. You can easily get W as ligh horses army holding down for 24 turns till the night time. Besides that opponent army compositions might include ton of Peasants or loght units which will be an easy targets against AI in FoG 2.
