Visual C++runtime

Decided to get back into PC, so purchased the General edition. I knew when I purchased it that it might not run as designed on my computer. Looking to see if anyone has a solution for my problem. Maybe it just won't work on a Mac.

2019 MacBook pro (Sequoia) with Parallels and Windows 11
Intel 2.3 Ghz 8 core i9
Radeon Pro 560X 4 Gb,
Intel UHD graphics 630 1536 MB
16 GB memory

When I install the 01.01.10, it is playable, though laggy. The problem is that when I apply the 01.15.01 update, open the game, click on "play", I get the message that components Microsoft Visual C++runtime are required. Does the update use a different version of Visual C+ or look for it in a different file folder than the original game?

I'll play without the update, if I have to, but looking for some advice.

could be one issue, as you need to tell the game which one to use, for your O/S you will have to google on how to etc as i'm unsure on it, but will or could mean why the game is sluggish etc as it's using the wrong one, the one with the least amount of memory etc.

and same answer applies to Parallels and Microsoft Visual C++runtime, as i only know stuff about the pc side of things i'm sorry to say, but a good google search should give the right answer or on a mac forum etc.

I fixed the performance by changing from Retina display to scaled in the windows setting, so v 01.01.10 is now playable.

Still can't figure out why 01.15.01 breaks Visual C+ when I try to apply the update. Both versions require Visual C+ and it works for 01.01.10 before the update is applied. Is there an incremental update that I could try?
