Slitherine

Possibly associated with a Steam client update today (23 April 2025)?

When I start either game in Steam, the screen goes black for a few seconds, does not start, then returns to the Steam client.

Other games in my library start without problems, including Slitherine games such as "Pike and Shot: Campaigns", "Sengoku Jidai", "Battle Academy" and "Battle Academy 2".

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both games, and verified the integrity of their files using the tool in the Steam properties.

I've also rebooted the PC several times.

Very annoying...

I will pass this query on to Pip, but one issue may be screen resolution.

Take a look at

/Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/Options

and

/Documents/My Games/FieldOfGloryMedieval/Options

RezX 1920
RezY 1080

if these lines do not match your actual screen resolution, edit them so that they do.
