Hi, I'm looking to build a 28mm Viking army and have just a small query regarding the composition of it.
The "Bases per BG" option for the Viking Huscarls reads as "2/3 or all", what does this mean? Also right next to it is a short column that has "6-9" in it, what does this relate to?

"2/3 or all" means 2 out of every 3 bases must be of this type or all of them. It is usually seen with BG's that may include supporting archers "6-9" is the total bases. The BG's can be 6 or 8 bases of the main type ("all") or using the "2/3" option, 4 of the maintype and 2 supporting archers for a total of 6 bases or 6 of the main type with 3 supporting archers for a total of 9.
Usually BG's must be an even number of bases. The 9 option is an exception for these mixed groups.

The BGs can either be all HF, or 2/3 HF 1/3 LF archers.
6-9 is the total number of bases allowed in each BG.
Normally this must be an even number, so if the huscarl BGs are all HF, there must be 6 or 8 bases in each BG.
There is, however, an exception for mixed BGs and so BGs of 2/3 HF, 1/3 LF can have either 6 (4 HF + 2LF) or 9 (6HF + 3LF) bases.
You will find this sort of thing explained in Appendix 1 at the back of the army list book.

Many thanks. It now becomes clear to me.
