Has anyone tried to run Panzer Corps 2 on a Mac using Crossover ? I'm now using Parallels Desktop which works fine, but it's a bit pricy.

I have gotten PzC2 working using ThePortingKit on my Apple Silicon Macs, which is free.
The game uses 10G of RAM, so your machine needs at least 16G.
The Steam install is much easier, but I just got the Slitherline install working.
ThePortingKit uses Wineskin, which is Crossover adjacent.

Bumping this for some help here. If I bought the game from the Slitherine store, can I still use Steam/Crossover to launch it?

Shame what Apple seems to do to developers, as I really don't want to have to bother owning a PC for games.

Yes the Porting Kit still works for PzC2.
There is a Steam Port, you can load it before you buy the game.
You need a Steam account.

You can also install the Slitherline version, but is slightly more complicated.
I can provide help if needed.

From one of your earlier posts, I've started testing the Porting Kit/ Slitherline version on my iMac this year. Compared to previous experience with Parallel Desktops:
The gaming operation is smoother, and the iMac's core temperature is lower / more bearable fan noise.
Overall, similar graphics quality (shades/texture, etc.), text rendering is not as clean as in Windows (guessing the different approach to pixel mapping under Mac).
Had compatibility issues with SOE Redux Mod year 1939, finishing one scenario, loading the next one, the game will crash. I found a trick to mitigate this problem. Launch the game under Windows, load the same saved file (end turn of the last scenario), proceed to the new scenario, and save. Load the save from Mac, it will work just fine, until the next scenario.
A bit annoying, but sth I can live with for now.
The SCW part of the same mod worked just fine, the main game worked fine, and the grand campaign mod worked fine as well.
