POA classification of chariots

I was looking through the combat charts and noticed that under melee, better armour applies to any but HVY WP, El, Ch Art or Bwg.
My question is does the term "chariot" apply to all chariots, light heavy and scythed or just those troop types classed as chariot in the army lists.
I have scythed chariots that have proven to be rather dissapointing so I was wondering if I might have missed something from their melee POA, that might have cancelled the armour bonus of those bloody Romans.
Thanks

Since no chariots can have an armour classification nothing can have heavier armour than them.

Yes this applies to all chariots - including scythed - romans do not receive an armour poa

thanks thought we might have missed that one. Still not sure at 15 points a pop they are worth the risk of having but I will see maybe try them again.

Never used them in FOG, but my experience in DBM was that they caused many opponents to devote far too many resources to avoiding/killing them that other troops got an advantage elsewhere.

not been that lucky yet, the Romans are not that afraid of them. Unlike the Roman artillery which I deploy away from and keep the battle way off to the side out of its arc, thats a way to get our opponent to waste some army points

save it for a friendly game wouldn't recommend it for tournaments. I personally won't bother buying any models since I don't think its worth the points to have it.

Yes, from what I have seen I will not rush to do this
