i'm trying to change something i've changed the german to italian in all scenario of 1939 axis operation, but i can't buy unit, are because hystoricaly italy in 39 is'nt in the war ? or something else i did wrong in the editor ?

find the file "campaign.json" in the AO1939 folder of the game.
change this:

to this:


Be sure to add italy in the editor to the players factions.


U might see issues when selecting a general. probs only the 2 generic pics avail since italien generals are not in the game yet.

Is this something you could implement in your campaigns? Pop-Up at the start of a campaign: "Would you like to use italian equipment during the campaign? Yes/No". Could bring some fresh air in a rerun...but italian events and caches would have no sense then.

in theory yes, but i don´t see how that would work out in a good way. makews a lot of stuff obsolete or weird.
