There needs to be more aggressive alerts for when units get attacked.

I'm not sure what the best route would be exactly, but when I have a mlrs or patriot in the woods a good ways behind my front line, and it starts getting hit (either by artillery or snipers in the woods) because my attention is elsewhere, I don't have any way of noticing that it even happens. I usually only figure it out when I try to use the unit and notice "oh. It's gone. Wonder what happened."
From a realism perspective I don't think a general would have to piece together events like a crime scene, I'd just know what happenned, or at least when the unit first started getting attacked.
The unit icons lighting up orange when under attack just isn't attention grabbing enough for me when they are off screen. The best way I can think to deal with this would be a blinking HUD indicator of the unit icon appearing on the edge of the screen closest to the unit with an arrow pointing towards it. Maybe it can be toggleable.
