Belligerent client states question

Hi folks,
I'm currently having a bit of border trouble with two regions controlled by client states of larger powers. The Rhaeti are clients of Illyria, and the Thracians are clients of the Lysimachids. My relations with Illyria and the Lysimachids are very good, but their pesky clients are giving me a lot of hassle. Is there any way to discourage the constant raids by the Thracians and the Rhaeti, short of declaring war on the Illyrians and Lysimachids in order to then take out their aggressive clients???
TIA,
Jay

Sadly, all you can do is either declare war, either keep sending gifts until you get past 25 in relationships so they stop raiding. It's especially annoying when they end up having objectives in your territories; combined to the decay over turns in relations, it may turn out quite costly!

Thanks Mevelios - I wasn't sure if I'd missed a trick there, but sounds like I'll just have to grin and bear it - or whack their sponsors!
