Following discussion about how to do this fairly when many regular players cannot come to a specific event I have modified the calculation so the the round VL score of any player is calculated per the number of people (+1) scoring lower in the round just happened divided by the number of players in the competition as a whole. These are then totalled across all 5 events to give a final score.

How does that seem to everyone.

The 2024 Victor Ludorum is complete. Results as follows. The approach finally settled on was for each player to score 1 for every opponent lower in the rankings on the day plus 1 so that you get 1 point for turning up. The consequence of this is that events with low turn out contribute very little to the final score at year end. Any thoughts on this?
