Both fun games and close. In the first game the result of one lost combat cost mberisso about 23 points due to follow on flank charges, double drops and chain routs. It was something to behold, but can't have been fun to have been on the receiving end.

Chris Townsend's Granadine 1232 defeated EdmondDantes' Portuguese 1200 63-37 and
Chris Townsend's Portuguese 1200 defeated EdmondDantes' Granadine 1232 48-18.

A battle field narrowed by mountains was crossed by a stream with banks that provided opportunities for archers. The key to victory was getting the heavy cavalry through the mass of infantry and to/over the stream. In both versions, Chris Townsend managed to do this on the mountain flank. There was theoretically a pass to an open flank on the other side of the battle field, but it was blocked by a nine square marsh. While both versions saw interesting battles for this strategic terrain, mostly with light troops, that battle ultimately did not have a major impact on the overall result.

Two very fun and challenging battles... the second was super close with many up and down... thanks for the great battles !

angusosborne (English) defeats IMC (Free Canton) 43-9

We fought across a narrow front to one side of a lake, and the English did most of the fighting with dismounted men-at-arms who didn't really break a sweat while smashing the much more numerous opponents. The Free Cantons did turn the English right flank, but not in time to make a difference.

The Byzantine mounted drove up the left, which proved the decisive action, while the rest of the fighting devolved into a grindy affair around the rough islands.

The Danes rush to the wings with combination of men at arms, scandinavian foot and all sort of guns and light troops, but the german hold their ground and, occupying the center and stronger in close combat, they caught up with the Danish wings with a good position
