How to fix the Hall of Champions bug

Go to the Squads text file in the Data directory.
Make a backup copy of this file so it can be restored if there is a problem.
Search for the unit: germanchampions. Note, there is no space in the name.
In the unit description, you will find a line: Madeby.
The Madeby line will just say German in the bugged (original) form.
To fix this, you put an additional Madeby line below the original Madeby line for each faction you want to have Champions.
You will probably want to add a Madeby line for Tribal, Pictish, British, and Spanish.
Save the file.
You will have to start a new game to see the change take effect.
