This thread will be for reporting the WTC24 Round 1 match results

Results of all games in all Round 1 matches should be posted in this thread.

All the games that are to be played are listed in the tables below and in the challenge thread, there are seven match-ups each of four individual games, one game in each period. This is a total of 28 games but only one game per player.

The winner should post, or in the event of a draw, the player with the lowest % damage received. If both players received same damage either player can post.

Please post using the Round 1 Match-up number 1 to 7, from the tables below, the period number and each of the players final % loss (highest damage then lowest damage) as shown in the top left of the match (game) screen on the final turn.

Scoring will be as set out in the rules.

The tables will be edited at least twice (every 7-9 days minimum) to list results posted.

A summary table showing the current ranking of each team will be published in the Ranking Thread which will also predict likely matches for Round 2.

Games unfinished at the deadline of midnight (UTC) on 27th September and games where a default victory is requested are subject to adjudication.
Round 2 matches will only be finalised after adjudication on 28th September.

Rockmanbob123 (Third Army) Italian (Ghibelline) w/German allies Defeated mberrisso Anglo-normans w/ welsh

On a map bisected by a small river (now know as Bloody Creek) and a small marsh on both sides, the Italians outlasted the Anglo-normans. The Anlgo-Norman light missile forces set up in the marsh while their main body stayed out of arrow range.

This hail of arrows forced the Italians to attack the marsh. The Italian knights sallied forth on both sides of the marsh and the Anglo-Norman attacked and broke the Italian knights on their left. However while the Normans wheeled left the Italians wheeled right.

Battle was basically tied on the 24th or last turn 49-49 until the Norman leader unit broke causing a cascade of further routs.

Great battle.
