Slitherine

Just got a DV in the final turn of this scenario which was pretty tough for me. Not helped by a suboptimal deployment I had not enough armour in the south causing some desperate fighting to stop the allied armour from overwhelming me.
In the end I managed but the cost was somewhat high.
Also the M36 Jacksons were a bit of a nasty surprise.

I had to use elite replacements several times to keep a DV possible.

The Bastogne fight itself was slow but doable with experienced infantry and loads of artillery, the StuGIV being an excellent unit to fill out the artillery ranks.

In the followup scenario, I chose Nordwind, I only had 3k prestige left, after repairs I only had 800 left with no overstrengthening done yet.
Is this a survivable amount?
I'm pretty sure I can do better with a replay knowing what I know now.

Also I used up all of my V1's and V2's. I read somewhere that they can be disbanded for quite some prestige, but that was during the beta's, so not sure if that is still the case.

I've since found out that a V1 sells for about 800 and a V2 for about 1400.
That is useful prestige in GC 45 West.
Not sure yet if deployed but unused V1/2 are returned to the unit pool at scenario end or not.

Any deployed auxiliary V1/2 are lost even if you don't use them.
You can check this for yourself by deploying such assets, starting the scenario, then entering the cheat code "endscn 0" to immediately end the scenario with a DV and move to the next one, you deployed V weapons won't be in your inventory.
