What 15mm models would be best for the Nomad Horse Archers troop type? I am thinking of Essex miniatures or Old glory15s. Where would these Nomads originate from?

You're looking for Turks.

Seljuq ranges are your best bet - my personal choice being Outpost.

I must warn you about Outposts minis in that range. I found them very dissapointing. At least order a sample first.

They do appear to be a bit of a marmite range.

Mind you I'd usually suggest getting a sight of any range before buying if at all possible.

I am completely lost on that metaphor. marmite?

I use the seljuk range for the ghilmen adn bedouin and Central Asians for the khurasani and they they are great.

It is a spread you put on toast, or sandwiches. Most people either love it or hate, but for some it depends how hungry they are. If a 6mm and 15mm army are all you have to fight each other its better than starving IMO. hence if I am hungry I will eat marmite sandwiches.

For pics of classical era figures, http://www.madaxeman.com/15mm/thumbnails.php?album=38

For Turks etc; http://www.madaxeman.com/15mm/thumbnails.php?album=55 or http://www.madaxeman.com/15mm/thumbnails.php?album=99 , or use the search function to try combinations of bow, mounted, horse, archer etc.

For manufacturers who make Skythian types, http://madaxeman.com/wiki2/tiki-index.p ... an+or+Saka

Likewise for Turks http://madaxeman.com/wiki2/tiki-index.p ... nd++Khazar
