We're playing a couple of multiplayer games and they all work fine as is. But one of those games is stuck - when the orders are processed it just goes back to turn 1.

It's our third attempt at rehost, but it's happening every time.

The version difference was our first suspicion, but those players that could check report being on the same version:

But we encountered the same issue in our other mp games with many players.

I see it's at turn 4, not 1?

The problem might arise if one of the participants has edited his files. He should get a warning but can ignore it (I'll double check this though); this would cause a loss of synchronization.

Can you please detail what exactly happens. At what point are you stuck?

Sadly there's not really much that I can add - basically we all pressed the "end turn" button and once we loaded the game, we were greeted by the turn 1 again. And again. After some players left the game proceeded to turn 2 on the next turn.
I provided a screenshot with the game name as I don't really know how to provide a game ID in case you'd like to check the server logs.
Same thing happened in some other grand campaign games we tried to start.

If it happens again, and after you've asked everyone to use a clean version, try to pinpoint if the presence of a specific player is causing the issue (the person might have edited or changed a file and not remember it). For example, create a 4-player test game of El Cid; no need to input orders, just submit the turn and see if you advance to turn 2. Repeat this with all players and try to figure out when the issue occurs.

Now that is cleaver, divide and conquer!
