AOredone has just been updated on steam and has changes up till 1945.
1946 will be a little more work. too much of a cunstruction sight.

sure, just start the next campaign. ur core should be available.
There have been some changes to 39 and 40, but u can continue without them. Check the change log for details.

Hello, perhaps in future versions I will reactivate this feature. But it is something to think about carefully because it will significantly affect the balance of the scenarios.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. I cant say I am really missing this features, was just wondering.
I already played some maps. I have to be careful, I thought I am absolutly used to the maps after several playthroughs but there are some suprises
Thessaloniki:
- You cant encircle the italy frontline like before. Is this intended? I always liked that aspect of the map, was something unique.
Operation Merkur:
- You only have aux. airfields in your base, so I cant bring in infantry like my azuls. Is this intended? I only got units in my core that I can permanently use, that means I only got 4 infantries. I had to buy some additional paratroopers but they are rather useless without experience.

Yep, it is... in particular in Operation Merkur you have to upgrade/downgrade your infantry to paratroops (obviously don't do with Azuls because you can't go back after the scenario

). I think that with let's say a minimum of 6 paratroopers you can safely win this. Use the greenest paratroopers only defensively and to finish off the wounded enemies.

Yeah ok.That doesnt work for me, since I always play with retrograde (?!) so I can only upgrade 3 units and one is already used for the HE Prototype. But I can work around this, no problem.
I like the exchange when gallands leaves, otherwise it always hurts to lose a super hero

What do you think about a paratrooper hero after the scenario, maybe connected to a special objective? Maybe save a hero units or something like that.

Well, it could be surely done, I'll think about it... anyway keep in mind that along the series there are a lot of infantry heroes available (maybe too many)... if you play let's say with max 4-5 infantry unit you can easily create a combo of multiple super-heroes unit even quite early in the game... I mean this kind of combo can really save your life in very late scenarios (Amerika if you want take elite objectives, for example) but having it in early/mid scenarios is a bit too much imho
Moreover if you replay AO40 now you can get the paratrooper hero Witzig after the The Hague scenario

Unfortunately I dont have Witzig, I went on with 1941.
Maybe it could be nice to make paratroopers more viable. I completly gave up to use them for some sneaky actions, because they get surrounded and killed and not many maps are big enough for such stuff. Not sure if its possible, but a paratrooper only hero could be nice. "No supply", "No surrender", "+2 movement", something like that. But i guess you can only create infantry heroes, so players would use it for other units. And it could sometimes break the balance if you fly in a unit with 3 overpowered hereos.
Do I still need 100 KVs in 1941 for the event in one of the last missions? I am a bit struggeling right now to collect the parts;)

I see. So you lost also Dietl, another useful infantry hero, and most of all the K5, which in future mission I am sure it would have become one of your best friends

A paratrooper only hero cannot be done, but of course we can set the attributes of some infantry heroes to become more "paratrooper like". In the series there is another one suitable for paratroopers besides Witzig, I think he is Wirnsberger

Yes, you still need them.

i don´t like that one,too. since it forces roughly 50k prestige on me.
Come up with a better idea.

Problem with the event is if you dont know it, you will fail. In my first run it wasnt even triggered, I red about it in the commendations thread here in the forum.
How about donating russian tanks (KV/T34 Models) worth 2500k-5000k prestige? Or 100 tanks but you can combine some models. Afair at some point there are only a few KVs 1940 left, because the russians are using 1941 models.

Well, to me it seems clearly designed to push players to exploit the capture mechanic, and by this time you should have some heroes qualified for the job... and just because the KV41 appears in late 40 on the battlefields you can safely sacrifice them and start collecting KV41s

... the real problem to me seems to be the reward, it's simply not enough... maybe a gifted Tiger (P) could be more satisfying

Cant remember the reward. I think you you get a russian anti-tank earlier in 1942/1943? Well, doenst matter, I never want to fail an event, but I wont say no to a tiger

When Wagner returns you get about 15 TigerP and 30 T34-57 parts... not very much really.

Only 15 TigerP afair.
You get the T34-57 with the prestige reset.
But thats totally fine. I dont like when you get too many prototypes too early.

Yep, it is a little mistake in LUA by me, wrong spelling for some units in the storehouse. I am posting the fix, but you have to restart the scenario to be effective
