Culture Bug in 1194 Campaign?

Hi all and team!

I recently purchased Field of Glory Kingdoms and I am having an excellent time with it. I think it's the perfect evolution of the ideas begun in Field of Glory Empires and I commend the team for their excellent work. Please, keep it up! I'm having a blast.

I did notice something however and I wished to bring it up and wonder if it is perhaps an unintentional bug, or intentionally designed? When playing as England in the 1194 campaign, upon starting a battle and exporting it to Field of Glory II Medieval, I noticed the English army is... Anglo-Saxon. Should the English army not be the English army list from 1155 - 1271, instead of Anglo-Saxon? Or maybe even Anglo-Norman?

This brings me to my next question... do army lists change with the advancing times? So for example, if the Normans conquer England, does the army list for England or the Normans change to Anglo-Norman 1072-1154 AD?

Has anyone else been able to replicate this issue or am I alone in this?

Thanks so much for the wonderful game, and I am looking forward to plenty more updates and content! :)

Thanks for your feedback and appreciation of the game!
It might be because Anjou is used in this scenario as the English 'impersonator', we will check that.

Thanks Pocus, glad to see you're taking a look!

It's still a stellar game overall and I'm having a wonderful time with it, just a few bits and bobs that cause an eyebrow raise here or there. Keep up the good work, please. :D

I would argue that English army post-1066 was more "anglo-saxon" than anything else, so unless you've managed to defeat the Norman invasion you should technically have "regular" anglo-saxon units...

If you haven't already, may I ask you to post a review on Steam (one sentence would be enough) if you think highly of the game? Every bit helps on release. :D

Well, I certainly understand the point and I don't disagree given that the regular levy infantryman would've certainly been an Anglo-Saxon rather than a Norman, but then that would negate the existence of the Anglo-Norman or English 1155-1271 army list for the 1194 campaign (which is the one I'm speaking of - not the main grand campaign)!  Which I think would be more appropriate for that regional/small campaign in terms of battles being ported to Field of Glory II Medieval. :)

Hello again, Pocus and team,

Congratulations on the new DLC! It's excellent work. I've not gotten round to reviewing it yet but I love the expanded campaign options and am looking forward to jumping in fully, especially the expanded campaign.

Just wondering if you'd had a chance to have a look at this (admittedly quite minor thing!) again and figure out a fix, if necessary? It's hardly game-breaking and I can move past it very quickly in-game  - it's not that huge of a bug, and it is only if you export battles (I'd definitely love to emphasise this - it's only for exported!), but instead of the English army list from 1155-1271 in Field of Glory II Medieval, Anglo-Saxon army units and names are still displayed, and when the battle is exported to FOG2:M, if you are playing as England, it shows 'Anglo Saxon' as the army with its units, with Anglo-Saxon banners, instead of the English three lions banner.

Did you figure out whether this is because Anjou is used as the 'impersonator'? I fought battles in Alençon and received the same as in my very first screenshot. Or could it be because of how armies are formatted for export, that they show up differently in FOG2:M than in FOG:K?

Thanks for your attention and keep up the lovely work. I'm so curious as to what you all shall do next! :D

I also wished to ask, as I've got no experience with this,

But let's say you start a grand campaign in 1054 as the Normans, and successfully invade England.
What does your culture change to? Does it change to Anglo-Norman? Or does it stay Franco-Norman or even change to Anglo-Saxon? I've got no prior reference for the culture swapping mechanics, if there are any.

Thanks! :)
