Shattered France

Hi, I was playing as France and on the beginning of my last turn a got a message saying your kingdom has been shattered and that I have reversed to County of Paris. But i have no regions, no armies, nothing. So what is going on?

I do not know... Probably someone thought that this would be fun for the players.

You lost.

Sounds like you lost a key region you have to hold to maintain your kingdom. If you lose that region you revert to a smaller kingdom and name changes. Holy Roman Empire will become Franconia for example. I am not sure why you lost all regions and armies though, unless there was a civil war and the other faction took it all....

You must have lost Paris, to enemies or a rebellion, a disloyal general saw an opportunity. Unless you saw the lost screen you still have stuff somewhere.
To avoid this, place a garrison in Paris, put a loyal general in command to prevent coups, usually an uncle or brother with 75+ loyalty. Until you have more armies, try to put a loyal general in charge of the main army, not that ambitious super general with low loyalty :(
