BG Turning 90 Degrees to Evade Diagram on Page 66?

I don't understand the 90 degree turn in this diagram.

I thought when turning to the right 90 degrees the BG would form up on the right corner (i.e. the former right corner would now become the new left corner).

In this diagram it looks like the turning BG's original left front corner turns into its new left rear corner.

Can someone explain this? Thanks.

if it formed on the right corner, the 'new' rear rank back edge would begin the evade move further from the charging BG...it forms up so it hasn't increased the distance and then makes its evade move

Because it is turning for an evade the positioning is different - see last bullet point on the page, and the notes for the second diagram.
