Last game i've played, i chose the Bedouin group in order to be able to have camel riders. However, in my stables i only had chariots...what am i missing here?
Thanks

Could be
Here's the description...to me it seems like they should be available very early:
Camels
"Camels are a very specialized unit. Horses are terrified of the smell of the camels, and as a result camels are very effective against them. Camels are much cheaper than cavalry and chariots and can match them in combat. The difficulty camels have is with infantry. Infantry, except skirmishers, will usually overcome any camel unit. Camels are generally also very vulnerable to missile fire.
Midianite Camels. The Midianite Camels are only available to the nations in the Bedouin ethnic group. They have some scouting abilities. Requires the Stables, which becomes available on the discovery of Animal Husbandry"
But i don't know.

Camels are pretty awful anyways. They are nearly useless against anything but cavalry. Go for the tribal special unit. Or the skirmishing unit, with the cool looking leopard skins.

The basic onager stables can only produce Gish battle carts. I would assume that you need true Stables, the second tech level of the building (not the size), to produce Camel units. Not having played the Bedouin tribes before, I can't verify that.

Yep, you need to build the Stables (there are Onager Stables, Stables and Cavalry Stables). In order to do so you need the Onager Stables in a city AND the knowledge of Animal Husbandry. You need Horse Riding for Cavalry Stables.

Yer the thing about Tech in CoW is that you have to wait for it to be randomly discovered. Maybe you just don't have the Technology yet in the game. I wish you can somehow control the tech level like in Spatan.

id have to admit CoW is better cuz in spartan its stupid(no offence) that u control cuz wtf you tell your people in publick speech "please stop inventing copper weapons and troops and start to invent more food technologys like ther plow and stuff" so technically if you think about it that made the game really unrealistic and historically innacurate and made me really dissatisfied with the game plus the skirmishers are completley use less and i find that also thats is very historically innacurate cuz along time ago during the reign of persain kings there "Lethal" volleys of arrows massacred unorganized mobs while in spartan they dont even kill hoplites easily and same w/ skirmishers they are completeley useless and can bareley even kill light infantry let along medium or heavy which is another historically innacurate and unirealistically dissatisfying with the game.

First, skirmishers aren't useless. They are quite effective if you use them as support. Second, the persian archers were not skirmishers, they were rank and file, and they can be recruited in spartan, where they make mincemeat of most troops.
And hoplites are heavy infantry.

I agree that the "technology slider" thing is very unrealistic. It would be better if your research into each aspect was determined by your use of it: the more agriculture you had, the faster you would develop new agricultural ideas, etc. You could gain a small benefit from any tech advantages your immediate neighbors had, or by using diplomats to "appropriate" the ideas.
Skirmishers rarely inflicted large numbers of casualties, they were more effective at demoralizing and breaking up lines of formed troops, who either had to stand there and take the abuse or break rank and run after the lightly-clad nuisances. Serious archery was done by formed ranks of bowmen, often with a front rank of spearmen to guard against the enemy trying to close with them. These are well represented in Spartan by the Eastern combat archers, who are fairly effective against almost everything. Skirmishers in CoW are actually too lethal, mainly because they carry an unreasonable amount of ammunition. The typical javelinman is usually depicted with either two or three javelins, and many quivers of the time period were depicted of a size to hold about a dozen arrows.
Punctuation is your friend, use it accordingly.
