Southern Storm Sale

I went to order Southern Storm and found out that if you upgrade it to physical it cancels the current sale discount. Is this an intended action with the store?
On further review, this now seems to be occurring on everything that has a physical edition available.
Does no one monitor this forum?
Should I post over at Matrix?
