Who's bringing 25mm to Historicon?

I'll be playing in the theme and open tournaments this Historicon. I'm bringing a 15mm Foederate Roman army to play in the Dark Ages theme, but I was also planning to play my 25mm Dominate Roman army in the open. I have a 15mm Dominate Roman army also that I can play if there are not enough players for a 25mm tournament, or if the organizers need someone to crossover scales. Anyway, I was wondering who else was planning on bringing 25mm for the Historicon open. Just want to make sure that I'm not hauling around a heavy pile of lead to Historicon if few other people are intending to play in that scale.

I know there will be 3 of us from Columbus in both the theme and the open for 25mm - Jeff Fletcher, Doug Anderson and me. We'll have enough for both the theme and the open as I know of at least 2 or 3 others coming for sure in 25s.

How did this pan out?

How is 25mm FoG doing in the US generally?

Well, I only used 25mm for the Historicon Open (playing 15mm in the theme). The Open had a total of 8 players (compared to 22 in 15mm), so it was definitely a viable tournament, and I had a great time. I wish the numbers for 25mm were a little higher though - maybe next year - although I'm a little discouraged with the Historicon move to Baltimore. Since fewer rooms will be available that are either in, or immediately adjacent to the convention center, my suspicion is that an even higher percentage of players will be using 15mm instead of 25mm. I know that if I even attend next year, I'll be bringing 15mm - I don't like the idea of hauling back a 25mm army to my hotel room late at night in Baltimore after the tournament ends.

That is a shame, but I do see your point.

Glad to hear 25mm is viable though.

Thanks for answering!
