MP Lobby: Incorrect map widths and MISSING_IDS
Posted: Tue Nov 28, 2023 3:53 pm
All my games (whether in My Turn, Enemy Turn, or Completed) show 24 width, while in fact being 40. (All except one, for some reason.)

This appears to be a display error in the MP lobby that was not picked up in the beta. (The engine MP lobby code was changed to show the ELO rankings, and I guess this bug crept in without anyone noticinig). If you actually play any of the "24 x 32" games, you will find that the maps are whatever they were set as, not 24 x 32.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 3:53 pm All my games (whether in My Turn, Enemy Turn, or Completed) show 24 width, while in fact being 40. It used to be able to find the strings if the Mod was on the player's system? Thinking about it, I think it did. I will need to get Pip to fix that too.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 6:46 pm This looks weird too. The 52 x 52 game is actually VERY SMALL, it says. Plus that my own module doesn't present the Sides (MISSING_IDS_SIDENAME_603, where IDS_SIDENAME_603, "Romans III", in the module).

Yes, it’s only the display that’s incorrect.rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 7:39 amIf you actually play any of the "24 x 32" games, you will find that the maps are whatever they were set as, not 24 x 32.
I believe it used to only specify whether “Side A” or “Side B”?rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 7:40 amIt used to be able to find the strings if the Mod was on the player's system? Thinking about it, I think it did. I will need to get Pip to fix that too.
I don't think so, but we will see what he says.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 10:46 amI believe it used to only specify whether “Side A” or “Side B”?rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 7:40 amIt used to be able to find the strings if the Mod was on the player's system?
