Lots of interesting stuff!

I just bought Pz Corps Gold Edition for some old fashioned hex action.

I used to mod Pz General, and I've modded other games so am modestly competent at this.

Anyway, I wanted to add recon planes as I think they are an important addition and do help you fight battles.

I created an Hs-126, added it to the pzequip file, made some graphics and added the sound efx. I put these in the Tac Bomber (category eight) group as I think this is the easiest way to mod these units.

It doesn't turn up at all in the regular or Africa Korps campaign. Not in the purchase screen.

So I modded one of the scenario files (Brevity-2) just by deploying the Hs-126 onto one of the hexes at the top of the map. Everything worked fine, the game played with the new aircraft performing exactly as I expected. But it's still not in the purchase screen.

Am a bit baffled, IIRC in Pz Gen, once you added a new unit to the equipment file, it turned up for all relevant scenarios.

Would appreciate some advice.

Lots of things might cause this issue, the equipment file is one of them, is the unit available to buy? check the dates, the nation etc.

Another solution is to load the previous map, press end and then load the next map, for changes to take effect, map needs to restart in such a fashion

faos333 is correct and as his 2nd post states, changes to the equipment file only take effect when you start a new scenario, not in the middle of a scenario. If you could post your equipment file or even a screenshot of the new unit entry, it would be easier for us to advise you.

I was taking a screenshot of the pzequp file then I realised what was wrong: I'd put the dates with slashes instead of dots. What a silly boy. Once I corrected that everything is fine.

Open Office spreadsheet autocorrects the dates so that's what happened. I've fixed the formatting. Faos333 is correct, the Hs 126 turned up on the roster of the next scenario.

Well done! And I know exactly what you mean as the same thing has happened to me when using Open Office. I've found if you use an apostrophe before the date, it will not correct it to use slashes. Typing '01.01.1939 will result in 01.01.1939.

Thanks. I have some photoshop skills: it's just a cutout from a nice pic I found on the web, shrunk down. Actually PS has got so good that it can mostly cutout an object itself and all I had to do was a little touching up.
