New player, a few questions and issues...

I recently bought the game after reading some good reviews and these forums. Unfortunately I wasn't able to access the "tech support" part of the forum until I registered, which I didn't do until after I bought the game. I have a few questions:
1. The game will not run in full screen. When I switch to full screen it stays the same size and just grays out the rest of the screen. What is the fix for this?
2. Is there any way to move the map around with the keyboard? It seems very rudimentary at this point getting around the map. You can't zoom out and then zoom into to a different place on the map by pointing at it like you can in most games. It doesn't seem like there is any way to change options like scroll speed. I play Axis and Allies a lot on triplea and this game isn't much more polished despite the fact that triplea is a free open source game and this cost $30. Even triplea allows you to click and drag. This game seems like Civil war generals 2 quality and that was an old dos game. I think if I could at least move the map around with the keyboard it might help.
I'm not trying to bach the game or anything. To tell the truth I haven't even gotten into it too much because of the issues mentioned above. I hope there some answers to these problems.
